The University of Nevada track and field teams competed at the original Mackay Field on campus and also competed at Mackay Stadium from it’s opening in 1966. Competitions ceased in the early 1990s as stadium renovations prohibited the facility from being certified for competition, but it still serves as a training facility for the Wolf Pack track and field team.
