Both the present and future were on display in Nevada's first indoor competition this past weekend at Boise State's Jackson Open.

The University of Nevada track and field team opened the 2012 indoor season with several strong performances at the Jackson Open in Nampa, Idaho Friday and Saturday.

The University of Nevada track and field team will open the 2012 indoor season at the Jackson Open Friday in Nampa, Idaho. The team finished fifth in the 2012 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships last season.

The University of Nevada cross country team wrapped up the 2012 season at the NCAA Mountain Regional hosted at the Collindale golf course by Colorado State on Friday. Nevada placed 13th with 361 points.
